I was so busy it almost passed me by… but Two Five Eight is 2 years old! 🎉

It still feels surreal to write that.
Two years ago, I took a deep breath and launched my own business – just me, my MacBook, and a big leap of faith. Since then, I’ve worked harder than I ever have, learned more than I thought possible, stretched my creative skills, and connected with the most brilliant, generous people.
It’s been equal parts rewarding and relentless, but I love it.
I’ve had so much great advice along the way, but I wanted to share two pieces that have really stuck with me and shaped how I work:
🧠 Work with people who share your values
This is an oldie but a goodie – it came from my friend Bex Elder and has been a game-changer. When your values align with your client’s, everything clicks: the process, the communication, the outcomes. It’s just… easier. Not everyone will be the right fit, and that’s okay – those people aren’t your clients.
⏰ Time management is everything
This advice came from a few different people, and I didn’t fully embrace it until recently. You have to make your time work for you. Tracking my hours and blocking time in my calendar has been incredibly helpful. But just as important is making space for you. A long lunch with a friend, a dog walk, a slow morning, or an evening burst of creativity – that flexibility is one of the best things about being self-employed. Use it. Make it yours.
No doubt this list of great advice will get longer as Two Five Eight grows…
Thank you to everyone who’s supported, referred, collaborated, or simply cheered me on these past two years – it means more than you know.
Here’s to whatever comes next!
